Equal?Ish.

For many young people, gender inequality can feel like a problem from somewhere else—another country, another generation or someone else’s life. But in Hong Kong, it still shapes who earns, who carries the care load and who gets the clearest route to the top.

EQUALISH turns those often-invisible barriers into a fun, accessible team challenge. Girls, boys and teens of every gender can learn what inequality looks like, discover the rights and choices that can change it, and see how everyday allyship moves everyone forward.

The game

This is not a race against your friends.

Choose one of six career paths and begin the climb towards the CEO floor. Each character has a different strength, so every player will experience the board—and its barriers—a little differently.

Roll the dice, move along the career path and draw Event, Empowerment and Allyship cards.

Meanwhile, your male co-worker is taking the elevator – direct to the top.

After every full round, he moves one floor closer to victory.

Reach the CEO position before he does and the whole group wins. But there is one important condition:

Nobody can finish until everyone has smashed the glass ceiling.

“Gender stereotypes are highly prevalent in Hong Kong society.”
